On 20 September, the Bundestag and the House of the people approve of the Unification Treaty, signed in East Berlin on August 31 September 20 by a majority of two thirds. October 1, Germany, who left the Warsaw Pact, became fully sovereign. The quadripartite Allied powers on Berlin are suspended as of October 3.
