The Constitutional Affairs (AFCO) Committee proposes amendments to Parliament’s rules of procedure to bring them in line with the mandate of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office. The updated rules will expressly refer to the Chief Prosecutor’s ability to request that the immunity of sitting MEPs be waived. That was the reason why we decided at the end of the year to do a fast-track procedure, only on this targeted rules to amend the Rules number 7 and 9.
