The 22nd of March was a black day  for Belgium, a black day for Europe.

Treacherous murderers committed a terrible  series of terror attacks in Brussels.

is to instil fear  into all of Brussels, Belgium and Europe,

so that fear and hatred fill our hearts.

It is for this reason  that we must remain calm right now.

We must not be generally suspicious  of every single Muslim.

We must not equate Islam with the distorted  Islamism of these murderers.

We should not delude ourselves:  this terror is global.

And by the way,  most victims of this terror are Muslims.

We will never defeat it on a national basis.

In the fight against terrorism  we must stand united,
