SOUNDBITE (Italian), Antonio TAJANI, EP President: I have claimed the centrality of the European Parliament, concerning the legislative activities also in the banking sector. I wrote to the President of the European Central Bank Mario Draghi, saying that it wasn&rsquo;t legitimate that the supervision of the BCE carried out regulatory activities by replacing the legitimate holder of the legislative power. It is not up to any representative of the Frankfurt technocracy to decide on the rules that apply to all European Banks, the possibility to access to loans from big, small and medium size enterprise and citizens. Is not up to the President of the European Parliament to decide about the content, but it is up to the President of the European Parliament to defend the legislative power, that must be always and only in the hand of the citizens representatives.
