EPRS - What is Strategic Foresight?

Tapahtuman päivämäärä: 01/09/2020

Strategic foresight is a way to take account of the future, and not only the past, in decision-making. For the EU, strategic foresight is about identifying where we want to be in 2030 and 2035, and what needs to be done to get there. From this exploration of the future, we can deliberate where we would like to be in 10 or 20 years, and decide on steps to take now to try to reach this goal. This is a resource for the European Parliament as it charts the way ahead, at a time of great challenges and great opportunities.
