The Committee on Budgets (BUDG) receives Commissioner Johannes HAHN to look into the Own Resources package proposed by the Commission on 22 December 2021 during its meeting of 13 January. The package comprises three new categories of own resources for the EU budget based on: (i) revenue from the revised ETS, (ii) the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and (iii) a share of the additional corporate tax income which is expected once the OECD/G20 agreement is operationalised at EU level.
