65 protsenti Euroopa internetikasutajatest teeb sisseoste veebis. Veebikaubandus hoogustub pidevalt, eriti noorte seas. Kahjuks piirab geoblokeering ehk asukohapõhine tõkestus sageli liidu internetikasutajate juurdepääsu soovitud teenustele. Euroopa Liit on siiski veebikaubanduse hõlbustamiseks palju ära teinud.
