SOUNDBITE (French), Martin SCHULZ (S&amp;D, DE), Chair of the Socialist group, We had a clear and very straight forward exchange of views, Mr Mottaki has expressed his government's point of views on the nuclear programme, on the internal reforms, on the political opposition, on the situation of Human Rights and Women's rights and the question regarding Israel. We realised that we totally disagree on this issue.As far as I am concerned I expressed that I don't accept the current situation in the country, how the political opposition is being treated , the situation of women, most of all what concerns the relations with Israel and the present position of Iran, for us the right of Israel to exist is unquestionable, Mr Ahmedinejad 's language intolerable, I said that in case of a collaboration on the Nuclear issue and in case of an improvement of the democratic situation in the country , there is so much need of cooperation between us the EU and Iran finally we realised there are many points of disagreement but also the need to have a dialogue.

SOUNDBITE (French), Gabriele ALBERTINI (EPP, IT), Chair of the AFET Committee, I think there was a need to confront our different point of views, we are in favour of dialogue, we are a democratic parliamentarian regime, we represent 500 million citizens, we he no problem to talk to anyone, We have noticed major difference of views as regard the Nuclear energy file and human rights, there Mr Mottaki has not convinced many of us with his explanations somehow well presented but far from any reality and we told him that.
