SOUNDBITE (Spanish), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, Aqui Europa Vocento opens a space between Europe and Latin America. I am a journalist by profession and I know that this space of communication is essential for mutual comprehension, but also in order for the citizens to be the real protagonists of the political lives of our democracies. I would like to finish this intervention by congratulating all the winners in Mexico for their work, it is a very important country to us. Latin America is superimportant to all of us, to develop a strategy like that in favour of Africa for Latin America, we cannot forget this part of the world.

He was my Director General for many years when I was Commissioner of Industry. Daniel is a great European, a great Spaniard, a great friend and worked very well. I think he is one of the best Director Generals we have in Brussels.
