SOUNDBITE (German) EP President Martin SCHULZ: "I was very happy that I could meet with Stavros THEODORAKIS. We know each other for a few years and we are working very intensively together. Today I had the chance to know the whole political spectrum of the country following the elections. For me it's been important to find out what the opposition thinks. I'm not making any secret that I have told Tsipras that it would have been better to have a coalition with To Potami than with ANEL; Syriza decided otherwise and we have to respect that. The opposition of today is in every country the government of tomorrow, therefore is good to hear the different opinions. Greece stands before a great challenge; what I have learned here today is that To Potami is a party ready to take responsibility for the country and for Europe. Therefore Stavros Theodorakis and the friends of To Potami can count on my support and rely on government cooperation".
