I am a member of the Parliament and of the AGRI committee for 11 years now and it is the first time in my experience that all the groups come to an agreement right at the beginning. I have drafted my proposal accordingly. Dear Martin (H&auml;usling), I am against changing this draft through an oral amendment, whatever the legal situation is. It is the task of the Commission to come up with a new proposal once we have sent back the current one &ndash; this message is sufficient and the Commission will have to see what it proposes next. I ask for your support for what I propose, and it is not acceptable that we challenge the concept of the internal market. This is something completely different from the national competence concerning the cultivation ban. These are 2 different things. It is not in accordance with internal market rules to set up diverging rules in this case. I ask for your support here".</p>

Most parties voted in favour of my proposal and I am very happy about that. It would have been a very difficult situation if we would have lost this vote, as this would have created problems in Europe with the Internal Market. Each member state has a different legislation and this runs counter the idea that we are advocating a European Internal Market. Today, with this decision the Internal Market has been ensured also in the domain of feed ."</p>
