SOUNDBITE (English), Gwendoline DELBOS-CORFIELD (Greens/EFA, FR), Head of EP LIBE delegation, We are arriving at the end of these three days and this very packed agenda, we  started every day at 8:00 and finished at nine o'clock in the evening. And we we are thankful that people came to see us as late. We met a lot of people. We talked about media pluralism, independence of justice

SOUNDBITE (English), Gwendoline DELBOS-CORFIELD (Greens/EFA, FR), Head of the EP LIBE delegation, We talked to civil society about fundamental rights, but we also talked to academics to two, to the education system, to cultural toy people. And then today we had a very political agenda where we went to the parliament, met the members of Parliament. We then met also the opposition. We met with the mayor of Budapest. And we've all these people. We have been engaging a dialogue. Once again, it was important to come here to not see people only from Brussels in a remote way. And it was a very important and interesting thing for us to have this opportunity to have a direct dialogue with all of these people

SOUNDBITE (English), Gwendoline DELBOS-CORFIELD (Greens/EFA, FR), Head of the EP LIBE Committee, The pandemic prevented us to come in March 2020. It was time for us to come. Last time was 10 years ago. So it's a very important event that the European Parliament was in one of its member states and will be in others at other moments
