SOUNDBITE (Italian), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, Today the European Parliament assigns the twelfth LUX prize Award. I am particularly proud of our film competition which since 2007 is dedicated to European production signatures focused on issues that are fundamental for our union. The finalist films face three key problems for the future of our Europe. The risks associated with nationalism are the urgent need to act to preserve our planet. The need to find coherent answers to the migration issue. And now, let's see who won. Who was chosen the parliamentarians through theirs free vote as the &ldquo;premier inter pares&rdquo; the first one among the winners.

SOUNDBITE (English), Benedikt Erlingsson, Film Director , I feel really honoured to be here in the temple of the power. I feel like a politician and I believe you politicians are also storytellers. You are always fighting about the narrative, you're always fighting about the narrative of the first act, &lsquo;where we are coming from&rsquo; and the narrative of the second act &lsquo;what we should do&rsquo; because we are all aiming for the happy end in the third act. So in that sense you are comedians because you are aiming for a happy end. But I have to take up the challenge of the character of my film Hatla.
