Children’s early years matter a great deal for their well-being and personal development and later for their success in education and employment. EU countries have agreed to provide early-childhood education and care services for pre-school children. The EU helps countries to improve their services through the European Social Fund and the European Regional Development Fund. It also has other initiatives in place to support training, cooperation and research. Here’s how.
