These space programs aspire to achieve European excellence.

That’s all part of what may be called "Space 4.0"...

it's about commercialization and participation.

It is using space for all the different possibilities for jobs and growth.

The European Parliament’s scientific body quizzed various actors of the space industry. 

there is a strong need for cooperation between public and private actors.

Investing in the future of space activities requires a lot of money. 

Private sector giants like Space X and others

are going to be driving the space agenda increasingly,

and so it's going to be quite an interesting growth over the next decade or so :

to see how the institutional side of space and the commercial side of space work together.

So MEPs have a major role in showing that EU space programs deliver services that benefit millions of people.

We have done work on satellites, Galileo and Copernicus 

they are looking down at earth, but we also need to look out at space, 

just providing that flow that ensures that we can reach out to the stars…
