On 30th of November 2023, the ceremony of the 17th edition of the European Book Prize has been organised in the European Parliament. Robert MENASSE, Austrian writer of "Die Erweiterung" (talking about European Enlargement) receives the award in presence of Marc ANGEL (S&D, LU), Vice-President of EP; Pascal LAMY, former European Commissioner for Trade, and Giuliano de Empoli, President of the Jury. On 07th December 2022, the ceremony of the 16th edition of the European Book Prize has been organised in the European Parliament. The European Book Prize was established in 2007. It seeks to promote European values, and to contribute to European citizens' better understanding of the European Union as a cultural entity. In 2021, the European Book Prize, chaired by Adam PRICE, honored Greek author Christos Chomenidis for his autobiographical work “Niki”.
