<p><strong>Cultural heritage plays an important role in the history and identity of Europe’s countries and indeed of the continent as a whole. It is a vital part of Europe’s economy and promoting cultural treasures will help to boost growth and employment.</strong></p>

<p>The EU has made 2018 the European Year of Cultural Heritage to highlight the diversity, shared history and rich cultures that make Europe today.<br />
Throughout 2018, we will celebrate our diverse cultural heritage across Europe - at EU, national, regional and local level. The aim of the European Year of Cultural Heritage is to encourage more people to discover and engage with Europe's cultural heritage, and to reinforce a sense of belonging to a common European space. The slogan for the year is: Our heritage: where the past meets the future.</p>

' Cultural Heritage in Horizon 2020 '

This Infoclip show the St. Thomas Tower in Malta. The project consists of the restoration of two historical coastal forts situated along the South Eastern coast of Malta which will be restored to their former glory for the enjoyment of cultural enthusiasts. The scope of the project, which also consists of the conversion of St. Thomas Tower into a Piracy Museum which will exhibit the piracy era in the Mediterranean, is to restore and conserve these cultural assets with the scope of enhancing the cultural tourism portfolio which Malta has to offer to visiting tourists.

This infoclip illustrates how the manual workers installed the temporary exhibition in the House of European History. Some information panels were directly stuck on the walls whereas other movable panels were placed in different locations to separate the various parts of the exhibition. Screens and works of arts were an integral part of the presentation.

This infoclip illustrates the installation of one of the major masterpieces of the House of European History: the steel scenography. A team of manual workers hung the work of art up to the ceiling. The scenography representes a serial of mixed up alphabet letters.

This infoclip illustrates the preparation and the installation of the permanent exhibition in the House of European History. The exhibition curators and custodians handled different elements such as old mask gas, rare books, national flags, sculptures, paintings, etc. The interactive interfaces and the huge screen walls of the exhibition give to the visitor a total immersion effect. A spectacular part of the exhibition is the projection on the ceiling.

This infoclip illustrates the production, the arrival and the installation of the spiral. The spiral arrived in a truck and has been cautiously transported inside the building of the House of European History. Before the installation a team of manual workers have to weld the different pieces. The huge work of art is hung in the main stairwell.
