SOUNDBITE (English), Federica MOGHERINI, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy / Vice-President of the EC, "In the last few months alone hundreds of innocents civilians have been killed, more kidnapped, and thousands displaced. the attack on the border town of Baga last week is only the latest in a long series of attacks and bombings and increasingly frequent attacks. Into Cameron demonstrates threat is regional and is getting even more so".

To win this war hearts and minds of the affected population have to be won. Otherwise our efforts also on the security level will not reach the target. And rules of engagement have to be respected by the security forces".

But we didn't have a slogan saying 'nous sommes Nig&eacute;riens', that would have been a good idea. That would have been really express a people solidarity because these people deserve it. Are we helpless against all terrorist activities in Sub Sahara Africa from Niger, Chad, Mauritania, Nigeria, Kenya, Somalia?"

And last Monday the Nigerian Minister of Defends said that his army was loosing the war against Boko Haram and only an international coalition could provide a solution".
