SOUNDBITE (French), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, The victims of terrorism need particular help because of the nature of the crime that has been committed against them but also because of the quite particular consequences and they could be put on the scrutiny by the society. They need and this is legitimised a social acceptance and at the same time they should be respected in their private life. We need to respond to their needs, which is a legal aspect and this should be done by EU legislation, but it is foremost a moral obligation.

SOUNDBITE (French), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, The directive has to be transpose by September 2018, but we can already start thinking what more could be done. And here I&rsquo;m thinking of coordination centres at the EU level to overcome obstacles, when there are attacks on people who don&rsquo;t reside in certain countries in the EU and I think a pilot project should be launched.

SOUNDBITE (French), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, I fear that our fight against terrorism is far from over. We have to be vigilant and bolster our forces and resources. It is only by doing this we have to make sure that any incitement to terrorism online has to be taken down and encountered.

SOUNDBITE (French), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, Information solutions and digital solutions can help increase effectiveness in what we are doing and helps to save lives. In the longer term I&rsquo;m convinced that we need to think of establishing a European FBI.
