A plenary session exceptionally  running from Tuesday to Friday.

An intense programme awaits MEPs.  Here are the main topics.

Air passenger data exchanges between the  US and the EU will be on the programme.

On Thursday, Sophie in 't Veld's  report will be voted on.

Data exchanges to help fight terrorism, yes,  but without infringing Europeans' freedom.

On Tuesday, Catherine Ashton, the EU's  Foreign Affairs Chief will come to the EP

to discuss Mali where questions remain  despite a deal for the junta to step down.

Also to be discussed are Myanmar  and the possible softening of EU sanctions

in line with the military junta's progress.

His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan  will be in Strasbourg on Wednesday.

It's his second visit to the Parliament  since his accession to the throne in 1999.

Although it's the only country in the region  without oil, Jordan's growth is close to 3%

and its reforms have modernised  the country considerably.

the King should, in particular,  touch on the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.
