As the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly meets in Denmark, MEPs will vote in Brussels on facilitating access to real estate and a €230-million plan to boost growth.

Next week the MEPs are back in Brussels  for committee week.

The Africa Caribbean Pacific - European  Union Joint Parliamentary Assembly

MPs from the countries concerned  and MEPs will discuss

economic, political and social challenges  in these mostly developing regions

and the opportunities resulting  from ever-closer relations with the EU.

Boosting growth  with grand new projects in Europe:

After coming to an agreement  with the Member States on 22 May,

the MEPs should vote on Thursday 31 May  on a new budget of €230 million.

The aim is to attract private investments  to launch new projects all over Europe

in the areas of transport, energy  or information technologies.

Facilitating access to real estate credit,  a priority in times of crisis.

On Thursday, the MEPs  will vote on new rules.

Intended to reduce the risks linked to credit,

they are also aimed at facilitating access  to real estate for as many as possible.

On Thursday, MEPs will also vote  on new rules

concerning the common organisation  of the market in fisheries and aquaculture,

the equivalent of the CAP  for agriculture.

The tool, which dates from 1970,  must be adapted

to the new challenges  linked to scarce resources

to control the management  of maritime resources better

and guarantee  their sustainable development.
