SOUNDBITE (English), Michel BARNIER, Let me just say a few words before this new meeting with the Brexit steering group of the European Parliament, which we have ,never forget, the last world for the EU side on the European Council. So my team has meet the British team today and we received legal proposal. There is progress, but to be franc a lot of work still need to be done, to reach, to fulfil the three objectives of the backstop: no border, all island economy and protecting the single market, that's means protecting the consumers, the citizens and the business inside the single market for the 27 member states. So now we will continue to work to reach a deal , the no deal will never be the choice of the EU, never, so we will continue to work with the UK team to reach a deal, but a deal which respect and fulfil the three commitments, the three proposals, bi just mentioned, in a legal operative manner, and respecting the mandate given to the Commission by the European Council and by the Parliament.
