Pierre Pflimlin (French, born 1907 - died 2000) was a Christian Democrat politician (MRP - Popular Republican Movement). He was President (1984-1987) of the European Parliament. Along with Robert Schuman, he was a fervent advocate of Franco-German reconciliation and European integration. Serious disagreements stemming from their differing visions for Europe led him to break with General de Gaulle in 1962. In this interview, he gives his vision of the European construction.
