SOUNDBITE (French), Albert GUIGUI, Grand Rabbi of Brussels, "For me it has been a very moving moment. Because it reminds me of the six million Jews that were murdered in the concentration camps. But also to remember that there is a risk that racism and antisemitism, which were at the basis of Nazism, are still present today."

SOUNDBITE (French), Antonio TAJANI (EPP, IT), EP Vice-President, "We have to have the courage to say it: without the Jews of Europe, Europe wouldn't be Europe. When Jews form France, Italy and Belgium are attacked, Europe and our Universal consciousness is attacked."

SOUNDBITE (German), Dafne YURTTAG&#220;L, German student, "I think it's still very present, even in our lessons, at the German section of the European School. It is regularly dealt with, in Ethics or Philosophy, so I think it is not something that will disappear."

SOUNDBITE (French), Oscar ALTENBERG, German student, "As a German, we know that it was Germans that did it. We feel, not really responsible but, we feel in ourselves that it was something horrible what happened."

SOUNDBITE (German), Lilian SINGHOFEN, German student, "I don't know a huge lot about it. I knew it had to do with the Jews and murder. And since we spoke about it in the German class I know a little bit more. But we don't usually talk about it at home, unless the topic arises or it's in the news."
