European elections 2019

Every five years EU citizens choose who represents them in the European Parliament, the directly-elected institution that defends their interests in the EU decision-making process. The next European elections will take place in 2019.

Parliament is ready to reject any candidate for EU Commission President who is not nominated as a “lead candidate” ahead of the 2019 EU elections, says a resolution to be debated and voted on Wednesday.

In plenary session in Strasbourg, the MEP disscuss the european elections 2019. The EP should shrink from 751 to 705 MEPs when the UK leaves the EU, says a legislative initiative to be debated and voted on Wednesday.

The Members of the Committee on Constitutional Affairs (AFCO) vote on the composition of the EP for the parliamentary term 2019-2024.
