We don't find the aviation issue and neither the one concerning the sea pollution which are very valuable to us and cannot be excluded. Furthermore, we're witnessing a much more restrained ambition than the one we expected. We aimed for more but we find less. Without any doubt there is room to review some things and to work in order to make sure that some commitment will be taken into consideration in these last three days of COP. We cannot settle for a partial agreement, the agreement has to be made at a higher level.

This is not present in the text yet and we will fight for it to the last moment until also the Americans, who are the most reluctant ones, will convince themselves that this is necessary for a better future and a cleaner environment.

Exactly those two transport sectors are going to grow rapidly in the next 10 years, they are even going to double their volume and that means double emissions. And to really achieve a 2 degree or even a 1.5 degree goal those 2 sectors must be included in an agreement.

He wants to break this &lsquo;Gordian knot&rsquo; and I find this strategy good, but it must be in parallel with reasonable and ambitious goals and that is the challenge we are facing and hopefully he will manage to solve it.
