Data Protection

Event date: 11/04/2018

Since 2012 MEPs have been working on an overhaul of EU data protection legislation to ensure people stay in control of their personal information in the digital world. Parliament adopted its position in March 2014 and had to wait until June 2015 for the Council to do the same and allow the start of negotiations on the final text.
