SOUNDBITE (Italian), Salvatore CICU (EPP, IT), rapporteur, The priority, especially for me, is that rules are the same for everyone. There must be a level playing field when it comes to prize reconstruction and production costs, so there won't be market distortions.

SOUNDBITE (Italian), Salvatore CICU (EPP, IT), We succeeded in putting together a methodology which activates a verification mechanism of those (market) distortions, through inspections for which the European Commission will have to report; in those reports we will find the elements of proof that will support the claims of our industry; they will be able to use those elements to initiate legal actions when our industries are being disadvantaged or damaged by market distortions. This is the key chapter of the report, as it gives the certainty to our industry on the procedure, it describes the methodology to be followed. With one important condition, there cannot be any extra cost for our industry; if there needs to be proof of the absence of distortion, the proof must be provided by the exporter or the producer country.
