SOUNDBITE (French), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, Thanks to Morocco we live in a less dangerous situation; their engagement in the fight against terrorism, their engagement towards better relations between the North African countries and Europe, and between the Muslim countries and the European countries. For us, the relations with Morocco are crucial and the challenges we ought to work together are huge: security, the management of migratory flows and the development of a sustainable economy, especially as regards the jobs for young people: we must not let the youth look at DAESH as a solution, DAESH is no solution, DAESH means death.

SOUNDBITE (French), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, We are happy that Morocco is working on the death penalty issue and we encourage this process. We are not going to intervene of course in your country&rsquo;s internal affairs Mr President, but for us this is very important, it is a message of confidence coming from Morocco; and I am also thinking more globally about everything that relates to inter-religious dialogue and religious freedom. What you are achieving is a very important message that enhances security and the dialogue within the Mediterranean.
