This package contains the events between 1st July 2019 and 31 December 2020. For latest events, see related links.

In January 2020, the European Commission announced its intention to put forward a Europe's Beating Cancer plan.

According to the work programme, the plan should be adopted in the fourth quarter of 2020, and will include a combination of legislative and non-legislative measures. Europe's Beating Cancer plan will set out actions to support, coordinate or supplement Member States' efforts at every stage of the disease, including prevention; early detection and screening; treatment and care; and the quality of life of patients, survivors and carers.
