SOUNDBITE (French), Martin SCHULZ, EP President , We discussed together the Tunisian participation at the programme Horizon 2020 and especially to integrate more actively Tunisia in important sectors as electronic, pharmaceutical, textile, different economic sectors, which are very useful for both sides. This is a project that must be followed. About visa policies, this is a difficult issue, and its frequently an obstacle to economic exchanges. Therefore we have to find efficient solutions. Concerning the Cooperation on the security programme, the equilibrium between the individual fundamental rights and the public security means is very thin. It is a problem here in Europe as well as in our partner countries.

SOUNDBITE (French), Habib ESSID, Tunisian Prime Minister, Mr President has talked about the reinforced cooperation within the Horizon 2020 program. We consider this is an important step forward in the cooperation between the EU and Tunisia. Thanks to this project, Tunisian researchers, as you mentioned Mr President, young Tunisian researchers, will have the possibility to share experience with their European partners.
