We need to show we mean when we talk about the social pillar, we mean business when we say we want to do something when we spoke about the housings crisis, so to give people a bit more optimism, a bit more hope.

SOUNDBITE (English), Ska KELLER, Greens lead candidate, What its important in elections is that you got a choice, as a citizens , about the parities that will run the show, that the people is involved. I don't think it will be at all a good idea that we go back to a system where the Council, without any relation to the elections results will just pick someone out of their drawer, that no one has ever seen before, has not been part of an election campaign, has not been debating, has not been presenting himself, or herself, to the citizens. So I think it it's important that we strengthen European democracies and not weakening it.
