Parliament’s Press Service organises a briefing for media on the practical details for covering the elections. It covers Parliament’s main legislative achievements during its ninth term, as well as unfinished business to be dealt with by the new Parliament. This Infoclip shows illustrations of different movie screenings of the Lux Audience Award 2024. The LUX European Audience Film Award ceremony takes place in Parliament’s hemicycle in Brussels. Parliament and the European Film Academy award the LUX prize to help the distribution of European films with significant artistic merit that reflect cultural diversity in Europe and beyond.

Our free film screening at the Neue Filmbühne in Bonn took place on January 9 and 10, 2024. Afterwards, there was the opportunity to discuss the film "Falling Leaves" and the European cinema landscape. Admission was free.

The LUX Audience Award seeks to support European cinema and inspire discussion on topical issues. Last year, the European Parliament joined forces with the European Film Academy to organise the Award and to reach a wider audience. The LUX Audience Award is now open to all Europeans, who together with MEPs have a say in who wins the award. The three European films nominated for the LUX Audience Award 2022 are: Flee, Great Freedom and Quo Vadis, Aida?
