SOUNDBITE (English), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, I agree with Prime Minister Costa, we need to decide on the Multi-annual Financial framework for the EU before the European elections, because we need to explain to the citizens what are we going to do with the European money. I think some countries want to wait after the elections but I think this is a mistake.

SOUNDBITE (English), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, We need to work together with the North African countries, specially on the stabilisation of Libya, this is a key point.

SOUNDBITE (English), Antonio TAJANI, EP President, We need a long-term strategy with a lot of money, of investements, in this Continent. And we need to do it the European way. If we want to invest 50 billion euro, individual countries are not able to do it, but if we do it as European Union then it is posible. And it is the only solution; because to block (migration) it is a short-term solution. We need to work hard in Africa and I agree with Prime Minister Costa on this.
