They speak of destruction, of civilian suffering, and of the deadening silence that follows the detonation of bombs. They tell us that peace cannot be taken ever and anywhere for granted, and they bear testimony to the sacrifice of Ukrainians in the name of our collective freedoms. Europe has shown the world unprecedented determination, solidarity and unity against this Russian led war.
