UK’s withdrawal from the EU: reaction of MEPs following the British Parliament vote

SOUNDBITE (English), Philippe LAMBERTS (Greens/EFA, BE), <p>We are yet to see Westminster having a positive majority for something. Whatever that something is. We still don't see it. It's not for us to decide (on extension of Art 50) is quite a lot of reluctance on our side to say that we could have an extension just for nothing. So we need to see a plan from the UK side. So far we have seen no plans from the government except running down the clock. That obviously seems to be a failing strategy, so if Theresa May cannot come up with another game-plan, that what's the point, I think that at this stage , if there is to be an extension it's going to be a short one, because we see no plan. First the UK should ask it, and then we should have a plan from them.</p>
